		<description><![CDATA[So writing itself becomes a tool for increasing consciousness. Consciousness during the performance itself, and the reflective &#039;self sounding board&#039; in a retroactive way. I don&#039;t know how yet but I think that consciousness has everything to do with presence. Consciousness and its link to presence seems to be a vital point of enquiry with regards to this improvisation thing. 
The act of writing itself seems to be an effective and potent process in this respect.]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[Well - the main thing (I suspect) is that knowing I am to write about what I am witnessing provokes a more patient form of watching (I think). Or perhaps it is more empathetic watching.
In terms of the writing, it clearly develops a degree of understanding (and nuance) that would not be present otherwise. As if the watching, the writing, and the dancing afford a crystallising of my experience. This is familiar: of understanding being developed through the act of writing.]]></description>
